Public Sector CIO’s will be getting a closer look at Crow Canyon’s applications for SharePoint and Office 365 at the California CIO Academy. Crow Canyon is sharing a booth with Microsoft at the Academy, which runs March 1st and 2nd in Sacramento, California.
Crow Canyon has a long history of working with public agencies and government. The company’s customers include federal, state, county, and city government; regulatory agencies; transit authorities; airports; tourist boards; public utilities; and more. Crow Canyon has provided citizen request, asset management, help desk, onboarding, equipment tracking, contract management, and other applications to these organizations.
Crow Canyon’s applications run in SharePoint 2010, 2013, and 2016, and in Office 365. With a big public sector move to Office 365, especially in California, many agencies and government entities are consolidating employee service, operational, and citizen support applications on that platform. The move to use Office 365 has proven to be a cost-saving measure while also simplifying administration and relieving training costs.
The CIO Academy is a two-day event available by invitation only to California’s senior-level public sector technology executives. The goal is to improve management and business skills, as well as provide networking opportunities and exposure to the latest technologies. Sessions cover such topics as “Accelerated Digital Transformation”, “Innovation”, “Digital Customer Delivery”, and “Modernizing Procurement”. All sessions are led by experts in their fields. The conference is put on by Government Technology, a division of e.Republic.
